The Arts in Harmony Juried International Art Show is a Blaine-based multimedia exhibit that receives submissions from North and South America as well as Europe.
This year’s Best of Show award went to Shorewood fabric artist, Arden Harrison-Bushnell. Harrison-Bushnell’s works combine dynamic design, brightly colored fabrics, and virtuoso needle and bead work with whimsical narratives to achieve textured representational landscapes with captivatingly juxtaposed color fields that draw viewers in and keep them engaged.
Harrison-Bushnell began life as stage performer, but an automobile accident and difficult recovery led her to other creative outlets. She has won multiple awards in recent years and her work graces the walls of private collectors as well as work places, hospitals, and clinics.
